Pupil Premium
At Manningtree High School we make every effort to ensure all students, regardless of their background achieve highly. A particular focus are students who have received Free School Meals at any point in the previous six years and students who are in care; these students are termed ‘disadvantaged’ by the DfE.
The Pupil Premium supports the learning of ‘disadvantaged’ students, its objective is to ensure they make at least as much progress as their peers. Our Pupil Premium Strategy outlines some of the measures we take in order to meet that objective. The strategy is reviewed regularly during senior team meetings, and annually by the governors of Manningtree High School. Our strategy is based upon guidance issued by the DfE which can be found at: www.gov.uk/government/publications/pupil-premium/pupil-premium. The strategy also outlines how we use the Service Pupil Premium, the DfE’s guidance can be found at: www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-service-pupil-premium/service-pupil-premium-what-you-need-to-know
