Our Governors

MHS Governing Body

The Board of Governors are volunteers coming from all walks of life, who want to make a positive contribution to the school and especially the pupil’s education.

The board work together to decide on the strategic direction of the school and to ensure clarity of vision, ethos and a good quality education. The board also oversees that the educational performance of the school is maintained and that the financial procedures are adhered to, ensuring that money is well spent.

Individual governors bring skills and experiences to their role in supporting, promoting and protecting the interests of the school, its pupils and its staff.

They are an important link between the school and its local community, being involved in many aspects of school life, with regular visits to the school, and joining together in monthly meetings to help shape the futures of the pupils.

We are all very proud of what our students achieve during their time at Manningtree High School, and what they go on to do!
